Koubachi AG
Koubachi brought the Internet of Things (IoT) to the plant space. The company developed disruptive technology to make plant care better and easier. Koubachi's products include Wi-Fi plant sensors and a plant care app. The app integrates sensor measurements, plant knowledge, weather, location, user preferences and more. The products tell the users when and how to care for their plants. In July 2015 the spin-off was acquired by the Husqvarna Group for an undisclosed amount. After the acquisition by the Husqvarna Group, Koubachi was integrated into the GARDENA smart system and ceased selling own products. Husqvarna kept the office in Zurich as an innovation and development site for Gardena, where they still remained in 2017.
